Booking with PostEx

Load orders from Shopify, fix mistakes, book them with PostEx and print the airway bills.

The Book page turns Shopify orders into courier bookings. It needs the "Log Orders" permission, a PostEx token and a Shopify connection.

  1. Load orders - paste or scan order numbers and press Load these orders, or press Load all unfulfilled orders.
  2. Review - every order is checked. Red boxes need fixing: the phone must be 03xxxxxxxxx, and for PostEx the city must be spelled exactly as PostEx has it (click a Did you mean suggestion or pick from the list).
  3. Courier - already filled in from the city (auto by city). Change it on any row, or set one courier for every row.
  4. Book - tick the orders (or "Select all ready orders") and press Book selected.
Review before booking. Greyed rows need attention: no courier set up for the city, or a restricted city (⚠).

Greyed orders

  • No courier for the city - choose a courier by hand to book it.
  • ⚠ Restricted city - tick ignore this warning on the row to book it anyway.
  • Already booked or fulfilled - cannot be booked again from here.

What happens when you book

PostEx creates each parcel, the tracker books them (the load sheet) and gets the airway bills. If Shopify is set to Live, each order is marked fulfilled with the tracking number, tagged PostEx and, if you chose so, the customer gets Shopify's shipping email.

When the run is finished, press 🖨️ Print all: every label of that run - PostEx airway bills and the labels of your other couriers - comes out as one PDF, in booking order, so you print once. See Printing labels.

The booking result: Print all joins every label into one PDF. The separate files are listed under it.

Recent bookings

At the bottom of the page: reprint labels, retry Shopify if it failed, or Cancel a booking (cancels it at PostEx and un-fulfils it in Shopify).

Recent bookings for both couriers.
